attitude towards the environment amongst students. The students are sensitised about the
day today issues concerning of environment. The club aspires the students to be nature
friendly, to observe and to absorb it within. The students were shown videos on waste
management, forest fire, afforestation, fossils etc. They made speedballs in the club and also
did leaf printing and tracing also and came up with wonderful designs. The students were
taken for nature walk within the school complex many times. They were shown different
plants and were asked to observe it carefully. They were shown nest, pupas etc. The students
drew their version of the pink trumpet tree which blossomed beautifully in our school. The
student students were shown real specimens of certain herbs and indoor plants which keep
the air fresh. The library resources were extensively used in the club. Students were given
magazines like National Geographic Kid and Sanctuary Kids and were told to go through SCIENCE CLUB Nurture nurtures. Here at RFS, the students are given every opportunity to appreciate the
them. The topics of the magazines were thoroughly discussed and the students took great Self-expression, independent research, constructive activities, etc., are some of the
interest in sharing their views. Those colourful books really held their attention well and the opportunities provided by the Science Club. Students learn more through the activities and

SPORTING CLUBS
Sporting Clubs at the school comprise Athletics, Carrom, Table Tennis, Football, Basketball
and Badminton clubs. The objective of these clubs is to provide an opportunity for all
students to take part in various games and sports. Sporting Club is run by qualified and
experienced professional coaches who ensure that each student gets the most out of the
structured sessions. The Athletics Club helps the athletes of all skill levels in various sports
of track and field to grow and reach their full potential. Badminton Club is dedicated to
provide the students with the environment to play the exciting and fast paced sport of
badminton. In badminton, the students are made aware of the rules, faults and the scoring
system to be followed in a match. The carrom players are made aware of the skills and
strategies, and the scoring system. In the football club, students learn to perform, develop and
incorporate the skills of passing using a lift pass, ball controlling, volleying, heading (diving and
defensive), shooting, goalkeeping, crossing, set pieces and free kicks. The Table Tennis Club
engages the students’ mind in making quick strategies and decisions to win.
