QUIZ CLUB
A curious mind generates knowledge. It is the spirit of enquiry that keep humanity ticking.
The quiz club is a manifestation of this ideology. The young explorers here explore new
expanses of knowledge. In the quiz club, the students are divided into teams of not more than
four members. Each week they are given a new topic. The teachers inform the students on
that topic. The students are then taken to the library for finding more information about the
subject. Each team makes ten questions after which they quiz other teams. For one correct
answer one point is allotted and at the end the marks are calculated and the winner is
declared. Here the topics for discussion vary from geography to space technology and from
ancient civilisations to sports. Each topic teaches something more than the textbook, it
generates deeper understanding of humane values and our culture. It helps them to respect
the great natural and cultural heritage of our country. It imparts the students with current
affairs, cultivates a habit of reading newspapers with open eyes and an open mind. It is all
done in a playful manner, in the form of puzzles, crosswords and games.
DRAMA CLUB
Students in Drama club acquire and develop various fundamental performance skills. English
Drama Club organizes various activities to enrich the acting and speaking skills. Activities
are planned on the basis of various life-skills like stage presentation, speaking skills, creative
learning and spontaneous thinking. The students get guidelines to improve their gestures
and creativity. The students are divided into groups and asked to prepare dramas on the
given themes, topics, text-book lessons and real-life situations. Scripts on The Happy
Prince, Ek Kadam Swachhta Ki Or, Sharing and Caring, Parental expectations in
Competitive world, Cracker less Diwali etc. were prepared and conceived into skits. Every
student in the Drama Club was involved as a script writer, director, stage crew, actor, ticket
taker, etc to prepare for stage performances.
