Raag Ras
It is rightly said that “We can’t always choose the music life plays for us, but we can choose
how we dance to it!” The fourth season of Raag Ras, the annual morning music concert, left
the audience mesmerised on 25 April 2019. The event began with Saraswati Vandana
followed by vocal recital of Raag Bhairavi, Bhairav, Bhupali and Deshkar. The instrumental
music featured fusion genre of Raag Darbari on flute, guitar and keyboard. Kartaal recital was
a surprise to all. After the music performances, there were graceful dance performances. The
main features were Pushpanjali (Krishna Vandana) followed by fusion of Bharatnatyam,
Odissi, Kathak, Manipuri and Kuchipudi. The conclusion dance Shiva Tandav left the
audience mesmerised.
