MAGIC WORDS OF THE MIND – POSTIVE AFFIRMATIONS
Positive thinking is a powerful tool that can improve your health, help you
manage stress, overcome challenges, and make better choices. Everyone
can benefit from improving their positive thinking skills! The idea is that
by changing your thinking, you can control your emotions and your
actions. Practising daily affirmations helps us all to replace the nagging
voice inside that might tell us "I can't" with a positive mindset that tells us
mistakes are OK and that we learn from them to overcome challenges. By
beginning to think more positively, students can learn to believe in
themselves and work towards their individual potentials.
Kids and young adults can use a positive affirmation list by reading the
words to themselves or out loud, discussing how they might help, and
identifying which phrases would work best.
How to use positive affirmations
You can use affirmations to encourage positive thought patterns and build
a growth mindset. Affirmations work when they are practiced consistently,
so create a routine around positive affirmations in your home and practice
it several times a day. Here are some favourite ways to do just that.
1. I can learn from mistakes.
2. I can help others.
3. I can do new things.
4. I can learn how to do this.
5. I can help myself.
6. I can think of great ideas.
7. I can be kind no matter what.
8. I can make others feel happy.
9. I can overcome challenges.
10. I can find beauty in anything.
11. I can ask for help when I need it.
Positive affirmations can be a refreshing way to use positive self-talk
capable of reversing negative internal messages and motivating ourselves.
Whether you’re seeking a means of coping with stress, want to get yourself
motivated for something, or just want to be more optimistic in general, try
coming up with your own affirmations.
