Reliance Foundation School, Koparkhairane held its first
interschool Model United Nations Conference on 29
October 2021, inviting participants from five other
Reliance Foundation Schools. The main objective of the
event was to promote Model United Nations as an

educational tool and provide a platform for young minds to
collaborate, share ideas, and develop their leadership skills.
The conference was held virtually on the Microsoft Teams
platform and was attended by approximately 60 delegates.
The opening address was given by the school's principal, Mr
Alok Katdare, and the Chief Guest of the event was Mr V.
P. Joy, Senior Executive Vice President of Reliance
Industries Limited and Head of Reliance Foundation
Schools Academic Council.

The conference simulated two committees, the United
Nations Human Rights Council and the United Nations
Development Programme, with the main agendas being the

resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict and discussing and
mitigating the aftermath of COVID-19 with an appropriate
socio-economic response, respectively. The delegates
showcased their research, public speaking, and diplomacy
skills throughout the event and engaged in intense debates
and discussions on the given agendas.

Overall, the RFSKK-MUN 2021 was a successful and
memorable learning experience for all attendees, providing
them with the opportunity to voice their opinions and think critically about global issues. The event
helped to broaden the students' perspectives and empower them to become effective change agents and
leaders of the future.
