On 2 October 2021, the teachers and students of Reliance Foundation School, Koparkhairane
celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, with a special assembly held through the
MST Education Portal. The assembly began with a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and his contributions
to India's struggle for freedom.
Students from classes 1 to 3 sang a song in praise of Mahatma Gandhi. The assembly included a student
talk and a teacher's talk on his legacy, thinking, and ideologies. Additionally, the assembly remembered
the second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, who shares his birthday with Mahatma
Gandhi. The assembly highlighted the message of truth and nonviolence through a skit and a song
"Vaishnav Bhajan" performed by students of classes 9 and 10. A PowerPoint presentation on Mahatma
Gandhi's struggle for freedom, views on cleanliness and principles was also included.
The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem. The assembly aimed to
educate the students on Mahatma Gandhi's principles, values and ideologies and inspire them to follow
his path of nonviolence and truth in their daily lives.
