Reliance Foundation School in Koparkhairane celebrated Library Week, an annual event, from

23 August 2021 to 3 September 2021 in honour of the 129th birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan,
known as the father of Library Science in India. The purpose of the event was to provide a comprehensive

overview of the school library and its resources and to encourage reading habits among students.

Activities during the week included a virtual tour of the school's library, information about
Library Week and the biography of Dr. Ranganathan, and interactive presentations on the elements of

a book, the difference between fiction and non-fiction, and a quiz on library properties using the
Kahoot platform.

To ensure a smooth execution of the event, the teachers were meticulously planned the activities and
provided explanations to the students. The students participated with great enthusiasm and the event

was a great success in promoting the importance of the school library and reading habits.
