The 75th Independence Day of India, also known as Azadi Ka Amrut Mohotsav, was celebrated with
great enthusiasm at Reliance Foundation School, Koparkhairane on 15 August 2021. Due to the
ongoing pandemic, the celebrations were conducted online through a specially curated video assembly.
The theme of the assembly was "Barat ki Anantgatha", and it was designed to commemorate and
promote the values and principles that our nation stands for.
Weeks before the event, teachers meticulously planned a number of activities for the students,
including singing the national anthem online as suggested by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.
The students were carefully selected and assigned tasks, and were given precise instructions and
training for their specific roles. The assembly video was compiled after weeks of preparation, and it was
a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of the students and teachers.
On the day of the event, the school's Principal, Mr Alok Katdare, along with a few teachers and staff
members, gathered at the school premises for the flag hoisting ceremony. The ceremony was conducted
keeping in mind the norms of social distancing as prescribed by the government. The flag was hoisted
by the Principal, and a pledge of allegiance was taken followed by a heart-warming rendition of the
national anthem.
The assembly video began with a speech by the Principal, addressing the teachers, staff and students of
the school. He spoke about the challenges of the pandemic and how these challenges have made us
