Constitution Day







                                                                                                                               Reliance foundation school celebrated Constitution Day on Thursday, 26 November 2020. On November 26,
                                                                                                                               1949 — the Constituent Assembly of India adopted our Constitution. Since 2015, this day has been observed as
                                                                                                                               the Constitution Day of India, also known as Samvidhan Divas. The Constitution came into effect two months
                                                                                                                               later, on January 26, 1950 — celebrated as Republic Day. This day is therefore celebrated as Constitution Day to
                                                                                                                               commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.


                                                                                                                               As part of the celebrations, a number of activities were conducted in order to commemorate and promote the
                                                                                                                               values and principles embedded in our Constitution. An important part of the celebrations was the reading out of
                                                                                                                               the Preamble of the Constitution which was done in every class after the daily morning prayers. The teacher read
                                                                                                                               out the Preamble and the students solemnly repeated it. The specific terms used in the Preamble such as justice,

        various books and reading facets and see how books can become a source of creative engagement for students.
        Various activities were thus designed which enthused students to look at books beyond just a source of reading.
        Two sets of activities were finalised for all classes, one to be conducted by the library teacher and one to be
        conducted  by  the  class  teacher/subject  teacher.  This  celebration  also  coincided  with  Bhashayi  Sangam
        celebration in the school and hence some activities were based on second languages (other than English) and
        were conducted by language teachers.
