The last year of my school life
was very different from what I had expected.
We couldn't attend school physically because
of the lockdown. Initially, I felt that this would be a very
tough year academically because of online classes and exams,
but my parents and teachers aided me greatly throughout the year and
made it quite simple for me.
My parents were very supportive. Even when all stores were closed, they'd somehow
arrange the material that I required for my projects or any other purpose. They always
had their mobile hotspots ready in case my house's Wi-Fi went down and even made sure Success Stories
that their phones were fully charged and free so that I could use them in case my device was
facing some issue. They even assisted me with my assignments. Most importantly, they made
sure I didn't feel any pressure throughout the year, which really aided my academic performance.
My school teachers were very helpful. They had their ppts and notes ready so that they could
easily teach us digitally. In physics, Ma'am went over all of the derivations in great detail so that
we didn't have any doubts. In biology and chemistry, teachers used ppts and PDFs of NCERT
textbooks to directly teach us by highlighting points that required emphasis. Even though I didn't
like English and informatics practices as much as I liked the other three subjects, their respective
subject teachers constantly encouraged me to give my best. They gave frequent tests and then
helped me identify my weak points. One perk of online classes was that I could send my doubts
to respective subject teachers whenever I wanted using MS Teams. Teachers used simulations
for experiments wherever necessary and also provided us with useful YouTube links related
to topics. They also gave us abundant worksheets and questions for practising which
helped us strengthen our concepts. This year has been a very
challenging year of my life. With the
I enjoyed this year because studying was easier for me as compared to a normal commencement of online classes, I was very
school year. There were some minor issues too, like excessive screen time, worried about how I would be able to manage my
but the biggest one for me was not meeting my friends every day and studies with physical school not being there. My school
not making the memories that I wanted to make in class 12.
teachers helped a lot in gaining and maintaining momentum
throughout the year. They were very patient and solved all doubts
Krish Vasa that I had. My teachers were a constant source of motivation
whenever I required it. They always corrected me when I was wrong
and guided me in the right direction. In the last 2-3 months I focused on
revising the whole syllabus and solving previous year and sample
question papers in each subject. I feel that this helped me gain a good
understanding of time management, paper patterns and how to approach
each paper. I studied 5-6 hours each day for board exams, this gave me
extra time for developing my habits and studying for competitive
exams. Being at home my parents always motivated and supported
me throughout the year and encouraged me to put my best efforts
into every exam and even smaller class tests. I believe that
hard work and self-confidence are the most crucial aspects
of achieving success in class 10.
