For the RFSKKMUN team, the preparation of the conference began months in advance as
the new entrants were trained in the basics of Parliamentary Procedure, Resolution and
Position Paper Writing, and Public Speaking by the seasoned members of the team.
Each committee started with a formal debate, where in the chair maintained a list of speakers
and the delegates followed the order written on the Speaker List. During this time, delegates
talked to the entire committee. They made speeches, answered questions, and debated on
the specific aspects of the agenda. After the formal debate a resolution, which is a written
motion adopted by the committee was discussed and voted upon by the delegates.
Important issues of international concern such as “Solving the Sudan Crisis ”, “Protection
and safety of migrant women and children” and “ Stopping the World War-2” were discussed
in the respective committees. The delegates were dressed in formal western attire and
displayed their praiseworthy preparation, excellent communication skills and knowledge of
the global issues. The delegates actively made motions, gave eloquent speeches, and
exercised impressive diplomacy during caucuses. At the end of the conference, the
best-performing delegates in each committee were recognized as were honoured with
certificates as the Best Delegate and Outstanding Delegate. They were assessed based on
their research, preparation, social dynamics and advanced strategy tips.
