Fruit Salad Day

To highlight the importance of having
fruits and how it helps us in keeping good

health, a ‘Fruit Salad Day’ was held for
class LKG on Thursday, 22 August 2019.

Children brought varieties of fruits.
Teachers along with the children sang

songs on fruits and then the teachers
showed them how to make fruit salad. The

importance of eating fruits everyday was
explained to the tiny tots so that they get

into a habit of eating healthy food from a
very tender age. The complete process of

preparing a fruit salad was shown to the
students. Children enjoyed their

participation with the teacher and
understood the importance of eating

fruits. This activity helped children to
learn about different fruits, their texture

and taste. They threaded fruit cut outs and
straw to prepare a beautiful necklace and

carried it home as a takeaway. A fruitful
day indeed.
