Texture Day
Touch is a sense used to interact, interpret and
understand the world around us. The Texture Day
was organised for Pre-primary students by UKG
teachers in Reliance Foundation School. The show
was screened as a part of our General Awareness
topic – Texture. It was a true learning experience
for all the tiny tots. Each child got a chance to see
and feel the different textures. It was a pure
hands-on activity as learning through touch and
texture is also very important because it
strengthens a child’s motor skills. Gripping,
holding, squeezing, stacking, poking, pouring and
scooping help children strengthen the muscles in
their body, and also helps them to develop stronger
hand-eye coordination.
