You feel the rush of the winds of change,
Bustling past you
Unfamiliar, unbeknownst to the rustling of leaves,
As they slip through the cracks of our society, deep into the roots,
And bring tectonic shifts to our reality.
[There is an eerie silence,
While the ocean brews a perfect storm.
Gigantic waves crash and collide,
While the crests break up and down.
In a snap everything comes to a standstill,
The ocean takes a long, silent breath.
And then hurls up and rages due to
The butterfly effect of a bat?]
While we struggle to identify ourselves and turn to technology,
Incorporating and inserting it into every aspect of our life,
The banyan tree extends its vines and grips the earth,
Striking a balance between nature and mankind.
[The passengers in boats
Are in a frenzied chaos,
Nobody knows what to do.
Their only course of action,
Was to wait for the storm to pass.
But this time it's different,
the ocean is furious
as it siphons everything in its reach.]
This pandemic has shown us that now more than ever,
We need to distance physically,
But unite mentally, make a subconscious effort.
To block a foreign entity from breaching,
the network of humanity.
[They flee inside the decks,
Sensing an impending doom.
While the air around them reeks,
Of loneliness, despair and gloom.
They feel a sense of loss and grieve,
But also pray to God and try their best to please.]
The winds continue to blow through our land,
Shift the tides of fortune, wealth and power.
New world leaders with new promises emerge,
Inspiring us to do better.
[The conditions become better,
The skies clear out.
The warm rays of sunshine,
Ignite hope in the hearts of few.
They work together and decide to set sail,
Harness the power of winds,
to achieve their ultimate aim.]
