Texture Day
Raksha Bandhan
Celebrations Texture Day was celebrated on 25 June 2020 with the objective to enable children know and feel about different
textures. Texture simply means how something feels when it is touched. Students were shown a video which
helped them understand more about texture through their sense of touch. Virtual texture walks and sensory
exploration were held to develop tactile discrimination in the hands and feet, while broadening basic concepts,
such as soft/hard and rough/smooth.
Pre-primary section celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great ardor and gaiety on Microsoft Teams. The Raksha
Bandhan Celebration commenced with a special picture talk conducted by teachers, explaining the relationship
between brother and sister, importance of Rakhi and the promise and care for each other. The celebrations and
learning continued with the wonderful puppet show video.
Through puppet show, teachers explained the importance of all the relationship of the family members who take
care of each other. In this pandemic period gathering is not possible so at home how we all can celebrate this
