NCERT Pilot Training Programme

CIET-NCERT Training Session

The 13th training session of the pilot program, organized by CIET NCERT in collaboration with Adobe India, focused on integrating technology and creativity in teaching vocational subjects using Adobe Express AI features. Ms.Priyadharshini C, an ICT Teacher from KDARFS, Jamnagar, demonstrated the use of Adobe Express generative AI features during the session.
In the upcoming week, Ms. Priyadharshini will conduct a one-hour session for students across the nation as part of an Adobe bootcamp. She will guide them on creating a futuristic Smart City using Adobe's AI features, further promoting the integration of technology in education.

Paryawaran Mitra Puraskar 2023-24

Paryavaran Mitra Puraskar (Awards) has been initiated by CEE as part of its Paryavaran Mitra initiative. The award aims to recognize the exemplary leadership shown by schools, teachers and students in encouraging Handprint actions.
KDARFS was shortlisted for its commendable Earthian project on waste and sustainability at state level category. Led by Ms. Ritu Verma and her team of students, this project highlights the school’s dedication to addressing pressing environmental issues through various activities. International Student Exchange program - BRIDGE Across Asia Conference 2024

Hardik Srivastava of Class 11 has been chosen for this year's International Student Exchange program - BRIDGE Across Asia Conference 2024.

Hardik will be one of the student delegates from India at the Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Online Conference, joining students from five Asian countries. This conference, organized by Asia Pacific cultural centre for UNESCO and CEE, is designed to cultivate global citizenship and empower students to contribute to a peaceful and sustainable society. 🌱

The students under 14 (Boys & Girls) participated in Khel Mahakhubh Basketball Competition 2024-25, at Sardar Patel Sports Complex, Sidasar Bhavnagar (Gujarat).

School Ideation Challenge 2024

KDARFS students did commendably well in the ‘School Ideation Challenge contest organized by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell. The school made its presence felt with two teams making their way to the final round of the contest. The first team consisted of Stuti Mishra and Riddhi Gupta of Class 10 while the second team comprised of Somdyuti Mukherjee of Class 6 and Somaditya Mukherjee of Class 11. Both the teams made a strong pitch supporting their innovative ideas. The teams were mentored by Ms.Supriya Kaluvala and Ms.Swati Suman respectively In the earlier round, three more teams representing the school were selected. Mr.Manoj Pandey and Ms.Aishwarya Krishnamoorthy had mentored three different teams. Mr.Rahul Karya too had coached the students in creating business models of the concepts. The teams comprised of Ayantik Biswas and Pranshu Javia of Class 9 Shambhavi of Class 9 and Divya Sharma and Yashvi Vacchrajani of Class 10. Abhishek Baraiya, an alumnus of the 2019-20 batch, achieved remarkable success in his maiden attempt at the CAT examination. His outstanding performance resulted in an astounding 99.98 percentile, securing an anticipated All India Rank (AIR) within the bracket of 70. Notably, his achievement also positioned him as the second-highest percentile holder in Gujarat and the highest in Ahmedabad city, showcasing his exceptional prowess on a national scale.

KDARFS students showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the recently-held Inter Reliance Foundation School Model United Nations (MUN) 2023, held at Reliance Foundation School, Koperkhairane. The event saw the participation of seven RFS schools.

CBSE Sahodaya Inter-school Swimming Championship

KDARFS took the centre stage as hosts of the prestigious CBSE Sahodaya Saurashtra Swimming Championship 2023. This exhilarating sporting event marked an essential chapter in the school's commitment to fostering student talent and teamwork.

The event was inaugurated at the hands of Shri H. B. Trivedi, HR Head, RIL (JMD Cluster).
15 schools participated in this championship, making it a spirited competition. KDARFS fielded 26 enthusiastic participants who aimed to showcase their prowess in the pool.
The swimming championship featured an array of thrilling races, including 50m and 100m freestyle, 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly, and the 4x50m freestyle relay.
KDARFS emerged as the undisputed champions, amassing a remarkable 312 points. Nand Vidya Niketan, Jamnagar, secured the runner-up position with 102 points, and New Era Global School, Morbi, claimed the third spot with 67 points. The event culminated with the Prize Distribution at the hands of Brigadier Guruvinder Singh Sahota, Chief of Security Operations, RIL (JMD).
This championship not only celebrated the outstanding achievements of these young athletes but also emphasized the importance of teamwork, harmony, and cooperation among students. KDARFS, as both hosts and winners, proudly led the way in fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship in the region.

Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI) Blog Writing Contest

Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI) had organized an e-Contest on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’. The topic for the contest was ‘Solution to Plastic Pollution’. Dhairya Shah of Class 10, secured 3rd position in ‘Blog Writing ‘and won a cash prize of 2500 rupees.

Inter-school State Karate Championship

Hetvi Bhardwa got the gold medal and Ashutosh Mahapatra won the silver medal in ISKU’s Inter-school State Karate Championship in Kumute [Fighting] at RAJKOT.

Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad

Devish Singhal of Class 10 distinguished himself by bagging the First position in school in the prestigious Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad. It is commendable that he was ranked 37th in Gujarat in the same exam.

Live National Child Contest

Rivaah Rajput of Class 1F participated in Live National Child Contest, organized by Child Dream Booster Hub. She bagged 2nd position in all four live contests (speech, poetry, story-telling, and singing), and also received the trophy of Super Winner.

Gujarat STEM Quiz 2.0

KDARFS students, Anshu Pareek and Akshu Pareek both students of Class 10, won accolades for the school by winning the State –level Gujarat STEM Quiz 2.0 organized by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology. The quiz comprised of questions from the fields namely Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) and was conducted for students from Classes 9 to 12 from all over the country. At the state-level quiz which was organized in the Science City, Ahmedabad, Anshu Pareek stood first and Akshu Pareek stood third and they both were felicitated by the Director of GUJCOST. The prizes included a Samsung Galaxy A7 tablet and a telescope alongwith trophies and certificates.to. Along with these rewards the students were even awarded with trophies and certificates. The state-level winners made their way to the national-level quiz which was also organized in the Science City, Ahmedabad. At the national level, Anshu Pareek and Akshu Pareek both qualified for the semi-finals and were awarded Robotic kits and certificates.

SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad (2022-23)

It was a proud moment for KDARFS when Nysha Sahu of Class 6 stood first in the International Level in the prestigious International General Knowledge Olympiad (2022-23) conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Her performance is all the more noteworthy as the Olympiad saw participation of thousands of students from 70,000 schools spread over 70 countries. She was felicitated in the presence of Mr,Mahabir Singh, Founder-Director SOF at the hands of Hon,Justice Deepak Mishra, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India. Way to go, Nysha!!!!

Master Aarav of class 6 H brought laurels to the school by winning a silver medal in ISKU Inter-school State Karate Championship held at Rajkot recently.

KDARFS students brought laurels for the school when the won prizes in events like Fire Safety Talk and Essay writing Competition organized by RIL Jamnagar as a part of Fire Safety Week Celebrations.

Achievement in Unified International English Olympiad 22-23

Aaradhya Pandey of Class 4 secured 1st Rank at the Zone level in Unified International English Olympiad 22-23. She also secured 29th rank in National Cyber Olympiad at the National level and received a medal and certificate.

Paryavaran Mitra Awards (State-l evel)

KDARFS students brought laurels to the when the ‘KDARFS Biodiversity’ team consisting of Srisha Patra, Sreepriya Ambadasu, Aneree Singh, Hiya Shah and Soham Mulay was declared State-level winners for their Earthian project. The team, with their mentor teacher, Ms.Aishwarya, worked on various activities and awareness programs related to the chosen theme. The project is a part of Paryavaran Mitra’ which is a nationwide initiative by Center for Environment Education (CEE) to create a network of young leaders from schools across the country.

Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (CBSE)

Two students of the school namely, Hiya Shah (10 B) and Saavan Kalaria (10 E) were creditably placed in the merit list (Region-wise) of the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge 2022. The exams were conducted in December 2022.

Indian School Talent Search Exam

Aarav of class 5D recently was bestowed with a medal and a certificate for his performance in Indian School Talent Search Exam (ISTSE). He was ranked 9th on International level.

Physics Research Laboratory RL Examination (Aruna Lal Scholarship)

KDRFS students brought laurels to the school with their creditable performance in the Physics Research Laboratory Examination held at Ahmedabad. The competitions were organized as a part of National Science day celebrations.
• Ehaan Ali of Class 11 has been entitled for the Aruna Lal Scholarship of Rs.10,000/-per year for three consecutive years. He has also been declared as the Centre Topper among all the Schools in Jamnagar and also won the Science Cartoon competition.
• Parth Sutariya of class 11 won the Runner-up position in the Poster making competition.
• Shrey Parmar of class 11 won the Runner-up position in the the Quiz competition

Money Smart Programme

KDARFS Jamnagar is now a certified ‘Money Smart’ School by the National Centre for Financial Education for successfully implementing the Financial literacy curriculum promoted by RBI and SEBI.
All teachers of the school have been awarded the Money Smart Teacher certificate while the students of classes 6-10 have been awarded with a Certificate of Merit for the completion of the programme.

The programme is an initiative of the NCFE to provide unbiased financial education in schools for improving financial literacy which is an important life skill for the holistic development of each student.

A student of the school, namely Master Pragun Tiwari of secured the First position in the West Zone – Junior (Class 6-8) National Level, Financial Literacy Quiz conducted by NCFE during Financial Literacy Week, from 13th to 17th February, 2023.

Plasma Research, Gandhinagar (National Science Day Celebration)

Students and teachers of KDARFS won accolades in the Inter-school competition organized by Institute of Plasma Research, Gandhinagar as a part of its National Science Day Celebrations.,
Vanshi N.Shah and Tulsi Patel won the First and Second positions respectively in Elocution while Anshu Pareek and Akshu Pareek were placed First and Third respectively in Essay Writing Competition.
Mr.Aditya Kavalanekar, PGT (Physics), too won laurels for the school when his model of ‘Low-cost Digital Grating Spectrometer using Web-cam and Open-source Software’, won the First prize in Teachers’ Model-making Category.

Three students of the school, namely Neha Chintala of Class 9 and Darsh Serathiya and Soumyadev Mukherjee of Class 10 have been selected for the second level of INSPIRE Awards and have been given a grant of Rs.10,000 each to facilitate their further research.

Q-Labs 2022

KDARFS team consisting of Dev Patel, Kush Patel, Jeel Vaghasiya and Kavya Patel, all from Class 12 participated in Q-Labs 2022 – Discovery India Virtual Incubator programme conducted by University of Queensland, Australia and were placed Second in a pool of teams from more than 50 schools from India. Gujarat Gyan Quiz

Anshu pareekh and Akshu Pareekh of Class 9 put up an extremely credible performance in the state government-conducted Gujarat Gyan Quiz. Both of them were winners at the district level and Akshu pareekh went a step ahead to be placed 17th among the top 75 at the State level. Herein it is worthwhile to mention that the competition witnessed the participation of over 1 lakh students from 6000 schools and colleges across the state.

National Science Seminar (State-level Selection)

KDARFS takes immense pride in the selection of its student, Zafir Hasan of Class 9, for the National-level Science Seminar. He won the first prize and a cash-prize of Rs.10,000/- in the State level competition. His presentation was on the topic, ‘Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development: Challenges and Prospects’. Zafir won the top position competing against 62 participants from 31 districts of the state. He will now represent Gujarat in National levels. Congratulations Zafir!!

National Science Seminar

Zafir Hasan of Class 9 G and Drashti Aghera of Class 8 D brought laurels to the school when they bagged the First and the Second positions respectively in the National Science Seminar organized by the Shri M D Mehta Education Trust. Both the students distinguished themselves with praiseworthy presentations on the topic, ‘Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development: Its Prospects and Challenges’.
What is all the more commendable is that Zafir Hasan will further represent Jamnagar District at State-level competition.

An Interschool Gita-chanting competition and Sanskrit Speech competition on Shrimadh Bhagawad Geeta was held at Nanda Vidya Niketan School at Jamnagar. Disha Donga of Class 12 has won laurels for the school when she bagged the Second position in Gujarat State with her superlative dance performance in Kuchipudi in the prestigious ‘Kala Mahakumbh Dance Competition’ organized by the Govt. of India. Preceding this achievement, Disha had bagged the 1st position in the zonal level and the 2nd in the District level in the same competition.

In order to ensure innovative ideas of students are given a proper direction, The Ministry of Innovative Cell has initiated the School Innovation Ambassador Training Program (SIATP). Performance in KYPY Exams

In a display of academic brilliance and high aptitude in science, two students of KDARFS, namely Tushar Jain and Toshit Jain have been placed among top 200 in the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exams. It is a matter of pride that Tushar Jain has secured AIR 118 while Toshit is placed on AIR 197 in the exams.

Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Chemistry

Toshit Jain and Tushar Jain of class XII- H raised the school banner high by qualifying Chemistry Paper-1 of Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Chemistry (IOQC)2022, held by Indian Association Of Physics Teachers, Dehradun.
