Specialised Coaching in Games and Sports

  • The School offers specialised sports coaching in Athletics, Table Tennis, Football, Basketball, and Badminton.
  • The aim of this programme is to enhance exposure to various sports and provide students with avenues to explore their talents and excel in a particular sport.
  • This programme instils in students the values of teamwork, fair play, sportsmanship, perseverance, self-discipline and selfconfidence.
  • Students are trained by qualified and specialised coaches.
  • The coaches in these sports also work with the school teams and help them prepare for participation in district, divisional, state, regional and national level competitions.


Environmental and Social Sustainability

  • Sustainable development goals are integrated into the school curriculum to raise awareness among students of the opportunities to create local solutions, a readiness to come up with feasible solutions, and the organizational skills to implement these solutions in context.
  • Field trips to ecovillages and sewage treatment plants to show current and best practices
  • Dedicated servers and drives for sharing electronic resources, whereby the need for printing is minimized, helping us to be an environment-friendly school.
  • Promoting cleanliness and hygiene practices on the school campus to inculcate a sense of responsibility among the students.
  • The school actively engages in waste segregation practices and manages a compost pit, fostering an eco-conscious environment and teaching students the importance of responsible waste disposal.
  • Students of secondary and senior secondary school took up projects under SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action), an endeavour by CBSE. Their projects included plantation drives, participation in community cleanup endeavours, installation of bird feeders in nearby gardens, promoting plastic awareness, conducting Swachhatha rallies, organising neighbourhood clean drives, and holding gratitude assembly for the school's support staff.

IDEA AND INNOVATION CELL

  • The school actively participates in the Idea and Innovation Cell, a programme designed for schools by the Ministry of Education, National Innovation Cell, Govt of India, AICTE, and CBSE.
  • The school's certified School Innovation Ambassadors have successfully completed the School Innovation Ambassador Training Program (SIATP), contributing to their skill development and enhancing their role within the Idea and Innovation Cell program.
  • An integral part of the school, the School Innovation Cell, has been established to champion innovation among both teachers and students. This cell provides a platform for students to showcase and evaluate their innovative ideas and projects through school-level competitions and events.
  • The school cultivates an entrepreneurial mindset through hands-on projects and various initiatives. These initiatives not only impart theoretical knowledge but also offer practical experiences such as industry visits, expert talks, and workshops. Consequently, some of the alumni have ventured into successful start-ups, highlighting the school's dedication to nurturing and supporting future entrepreneurs.
  • The school emphasises project-based interdisciplinary learning, particularly STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), as an integral part of Design Thinking. This approach equips students with essential skills for innovation and practical application of knowledge, guided by design thinking principles for a deeper understanding and application of concepts.
  • The school's remarkable achievements in various prestigious competitions such as CBSE National Science Exhibition, Youth Ideathon, HCL Jigsaw competition, Smart India Hackathon, All India Design and Coding Championship 2023, and INSPIRE Awards - MANAK, showcase the innovative prowess of its students on national and international platforms.
