RFSNEM successfully hosted a two-day CBSE workshop on Classroom Management on 23rd and 24th December 2024. Esteemed resource persons Madam Ranjana Jhangra, Principal of B.K. Birla School, Kalyan and Poonam Thakur, Principal of Podar International School, Mira Road facilitated the sessions, sharing valuable insights and strategies to enhance classroom dynamics and effective teaching practices.
The workshop focused on empowering educators with modern techniques to manage diverse classrooms efficiently while stimulating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The teachers actively participated in interactive sessions, group discussions, and case studies, gaining practical tools to apply in their teaching methodologies.

The Annual Sports and Athletic Meet for the AY:2024-25 was held on 21st December 2024 with great enthusiasm and vigour. The event commenced at with the ceremonial welcome of the Chief Guest, Shri Shashank Goel, by the School Principal & NCC Squad.
The event officially began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, members of the School Management Committee (SMC), School Principal and sports teachers. This was followed by an engaging interaction between the Chief Guest, the SMC Chairman, and the esteemed Students' Council.
The Chief Guest then inspected the house platoons and the March Past, showcasing the discipline and coordination of the students. A formal welcome was extended to the Chief Guest and SMC members with floral bouquets.
The event featured spectacular drills performed by the students, including yoga, a colourful formation with dupattas, the umbrella drill, and aerobics with pompoms, which enthralled the audience.
The highlight of the day was the felicitation of 23 students who excelled in sports at the taluka, district, Mumbai division, and state levels, marking their remarkable achievements throughout the year.
The Chief Guest hoisted the Sports Flag, followed by the Principal administering the sports oath to the students. The ceremonial lighting of the torch set the stage for the official declaration of the Sports Meet.
In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the students and staff, commending their dedication and hard work in organizing the event.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Sports Vice Captain, bringing the day to a close with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
After the inauguration function, the students participated in various track & field events. Simultaneously, they were awarded with medals and certificate.
And finally, a retreat ceremony was held, and the school sports flag was lowered by the principal and handed to the sports teachers.
Overall, it was a resounding successful event, showcasing the teamwork, determination & sportsmanship of our students.
RFSNEM celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm in the school assembly hall. The event was organized by the students of Eagle House under the guidance of their house in-charge and teachers.
The school foyer was beautifully decorated by the students of Eagle House, creating a festive ambience filled with the spirit of Christmas. The celebration began with a captivating video presentation by the students, depicting the birth of Christ and spreading the meaningful message of love, peace, and hope associated with Christmas.
The children added to the festive mood by singing melodious Christmas carols, spreading cheer and joy among everyone present. A highlight of the event was the entry of Santa Claus, who delighted the children by distributing sweets and spreading smiles.
The program concluded with the school Principal, appreciating the efforts and creativity of the students. The celebration left everyone with lasting memories and reinforced the values of togetherness and kindness that Christmas embodies.
RFSNEM got an opportunity for hosting a motivational talk by the renowned Nuclear Scientist and Science Communicator, Dr. A.P. Jayraman. Two sessions were conducted for the students and the teachers, all eager to gain insights from Dr. Jayraman’s extensive knowledge and experiences in the field of science and innovation. The talk on "Net Zero & the Circular Economy" was an eye-opening and engaging experience for all attendees. It encouraged the students to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives and contribute to creating an eco-friendly community.
The "IGNITE STEAM PASSION" workshop was an enlightening experience, inspiring teachers and leaders to transform classrooms into hubs of innovation and creativity. The session addressed the role of school leaders in creating an environment that promotes innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking. The teachers were motivated to use nature-inspired patterns to teach mathematical concepts (Fibonacci sequence, golden ratio) & encourage students to observe and analyze patterns in their surroundings. The session focused on empowering teachers to integrate STEAM vision into their teaching practices to enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning. By exploring these topics, the session aimed to cultivate curiosity, innovation, and scientific literacy among learners. By empowering educators, the session laid the foundation for a robust STEAM education framework at RFSNEM.
RFSNEM organized a visit to Prerna Matimand Mulanchi Shala at Roha on account of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) & to sensitize the students about special children. The visit aimed at stimulating empathy, understanding, and awareness about the challenges and achievements of individuals with special needs while celebrating their unique abilities. The students of Class IX visited the school along with the teachers. Our students interacted, involved and got engaged with the children at Prerna Matimand Shala through various interactive activities such as singing, storytelling, and games. These activities were designed to build a connection and promote inclusivity. The students of Prerna Matimand Shala performed a heartwarming dance presentation, showcasing their talents and spirit. This was followed by a collaborative activity where both schools participated in flower-making activity. A practical approach to sign language contributed to the students’ hands-on learning experience.
The visit was a memorable and enriching experience & strengthened the bond between RFSNEM and CwSN schools and highlighted the importance of empathy, collaboration, and skill-sharing. Our students were enriched with valuable life lessons and a deeper appreciation for diversity and inclusion.
RFSNEM observed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) with great enthusiasm and a commitment to promote inclusivity, to raise awareness about disabilities and sensitize students from Classes 5 to 9 about the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and the importance of supporting them. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of empowering children with disabilities and ensuring equality in opportunities and accessibility.
The program commenced with a special assembly where students were made aware of the significance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The session highlighted the need for awareness, inclusion, and empathy towards Children with Special Needs (CwSN). Various activities like One-Handed Balloon Challenge, Blindfold Sensory Recognition, Memory Games & Quiz on Disability and Inclusive Education were conducted which emphasized embracing diversity and supporting peers with disabilities. Students actively participated and expressed their thoughts, nurturing a more inclusive and supportive school environment.
The event concluded with a pledge to implement inclusive practices in their daily interactions, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in building an inclusive society.
Parichay-NEP 2020 Exhibition was organised on 30th November 2024 with great zeal, enthusiasm and mass participation. The purpose was to explore and exhibit the principles and initiatives of NEP 2020 through innovative and creative student-driven projects. The exhibition reflected NEP's emphasis on art integration in education. Artworks and installations depicting the essence of Maharashtra's culture and history were prominently displayed by the Preprimary & primary section. Innovative working models were displayed by the students of the Secondary section. The students illustrated practical applications of science and technology concepts. Topics included renewable energy, sustainable development & robotics promoting STEM learning. The students presented award-winning projects developed under the INSPIRE scheme, encouraging innovation and problem-solving skills. Models prepared by the students addressed real-world challenges, aligning with NEP’s focus on experiential learning. The primary section celebrated Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage by presenting folk dance on the floor & by displaying the included traditional attire, artifacts, and informative presentations on the state’s history and traditions. Students of Classes III to VIII showcased creativity through salad decoration, promoting the importance of nutrition and wellness. The students creatively used natural ingredients to design artistic platters, emphasizing health education. A well-received skit highlighted the transformative aspects of NEP 2020.
Students acted out the impact of reforms such as 5+3+3+4 pattern, multilingual education, vocational training, and inclusivity & created awareness about NEP 2020. The exhibition inspired teachers, students, and parents to embrace the principles of NEP 2020, encouraging a shift towards a more student-centric and skills-oriented education system.
Overall, it was a resounding success in showcasing the school’s initiatives to transform education in line with the policy’s objectives. The students of Falcons House organized a vibrant and colorful Diwali celebration, filling the school premises with the spirit of joy and festivity. The event aimed to spread the message of love, light, and happiness, resonating with the essence of the Diwali festival. The event commenced with a welcome speech by the House Captain of Falcons House, who expressed the significance of Diwali and the importance of celebrating it with friends and family. Cultural performances: group song, skit & classical dance performances were presented by the students. The students shared the story of Diwali, emphasizing the festival's cultural and historical importance. The assembly concluded with a prayer for peace, prosperity, and happiness for all. RFSNEM in collaboration with Security Department of RIL-NMD organized a Traffic Safety Elocution Competition on 26th October 2024. It aimed at raising awareness among students about the importance of road safety. The event was part of the school's ongoing efforts to instill responsible behavior and educate students on the significance of following traffic rules.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students of classes IX to XII, who delivered compelling speeches on topics related to traffic safety, road signs, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, and the impact of reckless driving. The participants showcased their public speaking skills and highlighted the critical role of adhering to traffic rules in preventing accidents and ensuring public safety.

Alumni Talk Series (ATS) Alumni talk series was conducted for students of classes IX to XII on 25th October 2024. The Alumnus for the session was Ms. Shreya Sharma, a Cloud engineer at PwC India. She passed out Class XII in the year 2019 from RFSNEM. Shreya's talk focused on her educational path, career challenges, and the key lessons she learned along the way. She emphasized the significance of hard work, continuous learning, and staying adaptable in today's fast-evolving professional landscape. She also interacted with the students in a lively Q&A session, where she addressed their queries about career choices, higher studies, and personal growth. The Investiture Ceremony was held on 14th October 2024 with great fervor and enthusiasm, marking a significant day for the school as it celebrated the official appointment of the student council members for the AY: 2024-25. Alumni Talk Series (ATS) Alumni talk series was conducted for students of classes IX to XII on 5th October 2024. The Alumnus for the session was Mr. Preet Pitani a Charted Accountant. He passed out Class X in the year 2017 from RFSNEM. He has also cleared CFA level three examination. It was an Interactive session where the students cleared up their doubts regarding choosing a particular Career. They came to know about the journey of resource person, as a student & the importance of passion in choosing a career.
On account of Hindi Diwas, RFSNEM observed Hindi Diwas on 6th September 2024. Hindi Pakhwada was organized & efforts were made to learn, understand & create interest in Hindi language among the students. The significance of Hindi Diwas and meaning of the word pakhwada was shared with the students. The development Journey of Hindi Language through PPT presentation was also shown to the students. Information of various Hindi authors was displayed on the boards in the corridors for creating awareness about them. A Quiz was conducted for the students of classes VI to VIII. The aim of celebrating Hindi Diwas was achieved which was to create awareness about the importance of Hindi language in its role of creating unity in the nation.
RFSNEM celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on September 5, 2024. The event was organized by Eagles house to honor the dedicated efforts of teachers and to acknowledge their pivotal role in shaping the future of students. A special assembly was held to start off the day's activities. The students' council delivered a warm welcome speech, expressing gratitude towards the teachers and sharing personal anecdotes about how teachers have positively influenced their lives. The music choir presented songs dedicated to teachers like “Thank You, Teacher”. Then students of Eagles' house performed choreographed dances, including a tribute dance highlighting the theme “Inspiration and Guidance.” A group of students of classes VI to X performed a humorous skit titled “A Day in the Life of a Teacher,” which depicted the daily challenges and triumphs of teaching. The skit was well-received and brought smiles and laughter on the faces of the audience. It was a memorable and heartfelt event. The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration took place at RFSNEM on 4th September 2024.It was a vibrant and joyous occasion that brought together students and teachers to celebrate this important festival. The event aimed to promote cultural values and a sense of community among participants. It included a diverse range of activities such as a skit on eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi, a dance performance, aarti, and bhajans, which highlighted the spirit of devotion, cultural awareness, and environmental responsibility. The Kites hosted the event successfully. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking skit on ecofriendly celebrations. It conveyed a powerful message about the harmful effects of using plaster of Paris idols and non-biodegradable materials, which contribute to water pollution after immersion. Following the skit, a dance performance was presented by the kites, which captured the joyous spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi. The dancers, adorned in traditional attire, made a mark with their synchronized movements and expressions, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere of devotion and festivity. This was followed by a melodious bhajan where everyone participated wholeheartedly. The celebration showcased the cultural richness of the festival while also spreading a message of sustainability and community involvement.
Janmashtami, the joyous festival marking the birth of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at RFSNEM on 26th August 2024. The entire school participated in cultural and devotional activities that showcased the significance of the festival and highlighted the playful and divine aspects of Lord Krishna’s life. The significance was given by the students of Falcons house about Janmashtami celebration & Lord Krishna who is revered as the eighth avatar of Vishnu, symbolizing love, wisdom, and righteousness. Vibrant performances were delivered by the Falcons house, beginning with a traditional dance drama depicting various scenes from Lord Krishna’s life, including his playful childhood (Bal Krishna), his youthful adventures with the Gopis, and his victory over evil forces like Kansa. It was followed by a soulful musical performance by the Falcons where they presented a popular devotional song in praise of Lord Krishna. The melodious tunes, accompanied by harmonium and tabla, filled the air with devotion and reverence. In the closing remarks, the principal reiterated the importance of imbibing Krishna’s values in our daily lives and encouraged everyone to follow the path of truth, love, and devotion.
RFSNEM conducted ‘Drishti Art & Essay Writing Competition’ as part of the ongoing culture of Reliance Foundation to develop creativity and critical thinking among students. The competition aimed to provide a platform for students to express their artistic talents and writing skills, promoting both artistic and intellectual growth. The art & essay competition was centered around the theme “India, My Heart My Home.” Students from classes 1 to 6 participated, creating artworks that reflected their interpretations of the future through various mediums such as drawing & painting. The essay competition featured the same theme & Students from classes 7 to 11 submitted essays that explored the impact of youth on national development and societal progress. It was a resounding success. The event highlighted the students' creativity and intellectual capabilities, creating an environment that values artistic and literary excellence & nurtures the holistic development of students.
Hawks house organized the celebration of Raksha Bandhan for students on 19th August 2024. The significance of the day was shared by the students followed by a skit showing a brother tying a rakhi to his sister who was an army officer which was a bit different from the tradition followed. The students presented songs on the theme of Rakshabandhan & Narali Pournima. The Hawks students presented a dance performance on Narali Pournima in koli costumes. They also made eco-friendly rakhi and shared its significance which was the highlight of the celebration on this auspicious day. The students took pledge to protect their sisters from all evils & provide help to the needy ones.
RFSNEM celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The school premises were adorned with tricolor decorations, including flags, buntings, and flowers. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony at 7:30 am. The National Flag was hoisted by the honourable Chief Guest- Site President of RIL, NMD, Shri Shashank Goel followed by the singing of the national anthem. The Chief Guest inspected the contingents of NCC 1 Mah Battalion of Boys & Girls and Scouts & Guides & shared words of inspiration with them & urged students to contribute positively to the nation’s growth and uphold the values of freedom and democracy. The ceremony was attended by all students, teachers, and staff members, creating a solemn and respectful start to the day.
On the eve of Independence Day, a cultural programme was organised in BGRB in collaboration with RIL, NMD. Students participated in cultural program by singing patriotic songs & presenting dance performances. Sweets were distributed as a token of love & affection to the students. The event not only honored the legacy of India’s freedom fighters but also reinforced the values of patriotism and national unity among students. The activities were thoughtfully planned and executed, ensuring that the celebration was both educational and enjoyable. The positive aim of such events is in creating a sense of national pride and community spirit.
The Guru Pournima was celebrated at RFSNEM honoring the revered tradition of Guru-Shishya and paying homage to the esteemed Gurus who have enlightened and guided us. The celebration began with a traditional puja, invoking blessings from the Gurus. The Kites eloquently explained the significance of Guru Pournima, highlighting it as a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to the Gurus who impart wisdom and guidance. A soulful devotional song was performed by the students under the guidance of Music Madam. The melodious rendition captivated the audience, creating an atmosphere of devotion and respect. A mesmerizing dance performance by the Kites, depicting the sacred Guru-Shishya relationship was a visual treat, showcasing the devotion and dedication of the disciples towards their Gurus. Alternatively, a well-crafted PPT presentation on the Guru-Shishya parampara was shown, featuring famous Guru-Shishya pairs from history and their inspiring stories along with a quiz on the Gurus, their teachings & their Shishyas. The presentation was both educational and inspiring, emphasizing the timeless bond between the teacher and the student. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the higher authorities & the audience present in the hall.
On 28th July 2024, Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated at RFSNEM with great enthusiasm. The event saw active participation from 50 Junior Division (JD) cadets of 1 Mah Boys and 50 Junior Wing (JW) cadets of 1 Mah Girls battalion. The celebration included documentary screening on the Kargil War to educate and inspire the cadets about the valor and sacrifice of Indian soldiers. The next activity conducted was model creation where the Cadets created models depicting the three major operations of the Kargil War, showcasing their understanding and respect for military strategies and efforts. In the end, Tribute Ceremony was conducted to pay tribute to the fallen heroes, by lighting candles, honoring their bravery and commemorating their contribution to the nation's victory in the Kargil conflict.
RFSNEM Celebrated of “Shiksha Saptah” from 22nd to 28th July, 2024 on the eve of 4 th anniversary of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 under the guidelines of CBSE.
It was celebrated with an aim to emphasize the importance of education and learning. It included activities such as workshops, competitions, guest lectures, cultural programs & CSR activities & tree plantation drive to enhance students' educational experience. Series of events were designed to engage students, teachers, and the community in meaningful educational activities. Workshops helped the students to get exposure to new ideas and skills which can be implemented to come up with creative art. Cultural Programs presented by the students of classes VI to VIII showcased the diverse cultural heritage of India and encouraged the nonparticipants to appreciate and participate in cultural activities. Quiz Competition on various current topics was conducted to have a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork & to create general awareness among the students. On the Nutritional Day celebration, Eco club was formed to nurture environmental sustainability which will enable the school to create future environmentalists. The exhibition was organised to display students’ projects, art, and science exhibitions to encourage creativity and innovation. Students also participated in CSR activities to create awareness about benefits of rich nutritional food & clean hygienic habits to be fit & healthy. Such activities instill a sense of social responsibility among the students. Thus the purpose of the event to create awareness about Educational benefits was served.
The "Let’s Move India" campaign was observed at RFSNEM from 24th June to 29th June 2024 with an aim to leverage the excitement around the upcoming ‘Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games’ & to create awareness and enthusiasm among students about the event, its values, and the importance of sports and physical fitness. Various activities were conducted during the campaign week like Special Pledge in Morning Assembly for the students to gain a deeper understanding of the Olympics, its history, and its global significance. Art Workshops were organized to enable the students to gain insights about the posters, drawings, and other artworks related to the Olympics at Paris 2024. To capture the enthusiasm and spirit of the Olympics, students were encouraged to record video messages expressing their thoughts and aspirations related to sports and the Games. Athlete Tribute competitions were organized to encourage students to learn from the inspirational journeys of athletes and appreciate their dedication to excellence. Traditional Sports games were promoted amongst the students to know the cultural diversity and encourage students to explore sports beyond the mainstream, nurture a deeper appreciation for global athletic traditions. This event was a testament to the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and cultural diversity celebrated by the Olympic Games. Through a variety of engaging activities and initiatives, students were inspired to embrace the values of the Olympics and strive for personal excellence in sports and embody the principles of respect, teamwork, and determination.
International Yoga Day is observed every year on 21st June to raise awareness about this ancient practice and celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. This year RFSNEM celebrated 10th International Yoga Day (IYD) with great enthusiasm in morning assembly on 21st June 2024. The celebration began by taking the oath for a healthy life & sharing significance of IYD 2024 & its theme for the year 2024- ‘“Yoga for Self and Society.” Yoga expert instructors guided the students to perform various sitting, standing & sleeping asanas like Bhujangasana, Padmasana, Parshvottanasana, Tadasana, Surya Namaskar, Sarvangasana & Parvatasana etc.The benefits of the postures were narrated by one of the students as other students performed the asanas along with the instructions. etc. The event concluded with the prayer-Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. After morning assembly, various competitions like- Quiz, Poster making, Essay Writing,Class board decoration were conducted for all the students of classes III to X to build their inner strength and confidence that is a path of Yoga. Yoga Workshop & Seminar were conducted by the P.E. instructors where the students became aware of the importance of Yoga for a healthy life. They also learnt various asanas with their names & the correct way to do it. The celebration concluded with some breathing techniques and the students were encouraged to practice regular yoga to remain fit as they showcased a very energetic and spirited performance. The students were delighted to be a part of the celebration which ended with a note "May the practice of yoga bring joy, health, and enlightenment to your life.’’
Cyber Security & Asset Session was organized for staff of RFSNEM by IT Department of RIL-NMD on 13th June 2024. The resource persons were Shri Chetan Joshi, Shri Ratnesh Chaurasiya & Shri Kaushik Palit from IT Dept. of RIL-NMD. They conducted the session to raise awareness and educate the staff about the risks associated with cybercrime and the measures that can be taken to prevent such activities. The session’s aim was to educate participants about the importance of cybersecurity and how it can be used to protect sensitive data and information. Overall, it was a prerequisite program to make the teachers aware of the online threats which are being faced due to the increase in time spent on the internet. They also learnt about the latest tools and techniques used by ethical hackers to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. Information regarding the precautionary measures regarding the use of laptops was given to the teachers. Armed with the knowledge and skills gained from the session, the staff gained greater confidence in their ability to protect themselves and their organizations from cyber threats.
Annual Social Gathering, the most auspicious & awaited event of the year was celebrated on 21st & 22nd of December 2023 in RFSNEM. This grand event provided the students a platform to showcase their talents and celebrate their achievements with great vigour and energy.
The first day of the event was for the Juniors and was graced by Smt. Seema Goel, President, Ladies Club, RIL-NMD, as the Chief Guest & the Guest of Honour, Shri Shashank Goel, RIL-NMD President, SMC Chairman. The event began with lamp lighting followed with Mantra and Ganesh Vandana & welcome song for the invitees & audience. The tiny tots gave their teachers the moment of pride to cherish with their excellent performances. In the second phase of the event, The Academic Achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest in the company of their parents. The Guest of Honour addressed the students with words of inspiration and motivation to boost the morale of the performers. It was followed by the creative performances of the students of classes IV & V. The performances were a treat to watch and left everyone spellbound. The anchoring of the event was taken care entirely by the students. It was a moment of pride for RFSNEM and parents to see their students perform flawlessly & confidently.
The 2nd day of the event was for the Seniors. The Chief Guest, Shri Shashank Goel, RIL-NMD President, SMC Chairman, Madam Seema Goel, President, Ladies Club, RIL-NMD, Ms. Sarla Patankar & Mr. Sachin Sharma, Members of Reliance Foundation Academic Council graced the momentous occasion. The evening began with lamp lighting, Mantra, Saraswati Vandana and Welcome song. Students presented their creativity & skills in the form of skits, songs and dances, maintaining the smooth flow of the event and with the jaw-dropping display of their talents. In the second phase of the event, The Academic Achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest in the company of their parents. The entire event was anchored by the students. The Chief Guest in his address, appreciated the efforts of the Students and congratulated all for putting up a great show. In her address, Ms. Sarla Patankar, Member, RFSAC appreciated the efforts of the students and lauded the performances which were a kaleidoscope of social, cultural and moral values well integrated with technology.
The cultural performances were presented with a mission to ignite the fire among the students to perform well in different areas for their holistic development. Mythology, Cultural Tradition, Literature, Scientific Developments, Humour and Women Empowerment were all covered with grace in the two days event which was conceptualized by the Principal, Shri Anop Shukla.
The event was more than just a celebration. It was also the time to present the status of the goals, mission and vision of the school. The Annual Report which reflects the happenings & achievements of the school was excellently presented by the Vice Principal, Smt. Shampa Sarkar under the guidance of the Principal Sir. The report meticulously showcased the fabulous achievement of the school of being ranked as the Number ONE CBSE School in India in Co-curricular Education by Education Today for the academic year 2023-24.
The entire show was an amalgamation of the efforts of the entire RFSNEM fraternity.

Christmas, a fun filled festival, was celebrated in RFSNEM on 18th December 2023 with great delight and happiness. The school was beautifully decorated with festoons & Xmas Tree with gifts wrapped around it. The Hawk house students shared the significance of the festival & presented a harmonious story on the life of Jesus Christ right from Mother Mary’s conception to the birth of Jesus with a PPT. The students presented dance performances to the melodious tunes of ‘Christmas Carols’ and ‘We wish you a merry Christmas. The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students. To inculcate good values among the students, the day was enlivened with the ‘joy of sharing happiness’ act, wherein the students gifted Christmas cards to the teachers and sweets to the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the students. It was a joyous and cherishable moment for everyone.
RFSNEM celebrated Energy conservation (EnCon) week from 14.12.2023 to 20.12.2023 in collaboration with RIL-NMD. The purpose of the celebration was to promote awareness for efficient energy use among the students and raise awareness, foster action for sustainable energy consumption and preservation. The theme of the session conducted was ‘Efficient Energy: Preserve, Conserve, Sustain-Our Shared Responsibility’. The students actively participated in the awareness session & also participated in Crossword Puzzle organised for them. The ultimate objective of the session regarding energy conservation was to achieve sustainable energy usage awareness which was successfully served.
NCC cadets of 1 Maharashtra Girls battalion and 1 Maharashtra Boys Battalion, organized Vijay Diwas celebration in RFSNEM to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in 1971. Various heart-throbbing activities were organized on this auspicious occasion. A poster-making competition allowed cadets to showcase their artistic skills, portraying patriotic themes. Energetic dance performances depicted the life of soldiers, highlighting their courage and sacrifice. In addition, a documentary focusing on the Indo-Pak war was presented, providing insightful perspectives on historical events. The candle lighting was a special moment to show respect for our brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our nation. The multifaceted activities aimed to instil deeper appreciation for our nation's history and the valour of our armed forces among the students.
RFSNEM celebrated Nobel Week from 7th December 2023 to 12th December 2023 to commemorate the death anniversary of Alfred Nobel, the Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor, and businessman who created the Nobel Prize, and to generate awareness among the students about the Nobel Prize and its significance. The teachers presented Nobel Prize lessons in the respective Classes. A Quiz Competition on the theme of Nobel Prize was conducted in classes VI to XII. Soft Boards of all classes were decorated on the theme- Nobel prize winner scientists and their contributions to the world. Poster-Making Competition on the theme Future Science and Technology in India was conducted for classes VI to XII.
It gave an opportunity to the students to get acquainted with some of the most important discoveries and achievements in science, literature, and foreign relations and be aware of the contributions of Nobel winners for the betterment of the world. Subsequently, it helped to create a unique and engaging learning experience and to develop scientific fervour among the students.
Alumni Talk Series was conducted on 2nd December 2023 on the topic ‘Career as a Financial Analyst’ The Guest speaker was our Alumna- Ms. Devyani Belwalkar Pass Out year 2016 from RFSNEM after Class XI, currently working as Senior Financial Analyst at the Indian branch of Northern Trust, Chicago, Illinois. It was an Interactive session where the students came to know about –Journey of resource person, Miss. Devayani Belwalkar as a student and as an employee in the field of business and finance. Students also got information about educational streams and career opportunities in the fields of finance and economics.
Alumni Talk Series was initiated by RFSNEM on 9th November 2023 in which one of our Alumni Mr. Aditya Sarode, Computer Engineer & Co-founder at Lana Health conducted the session on the topic ‘How to become an Entrepreneur’ for students of classes X to XII. He encouraged the students to widen their scope of choosing a career & motivated them to start their own business after completing their graduation.
RFSNEM celebrated Children’s Day on 9th November 2023 to commemorate birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The celebrations began with sharing the significance of the day in English and Hindi. Songs & dance performances were presented by the students of Eagles House. This was followed by PPT presentation depicting life history of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The Principal addressed the children emphasizing on their role in the growth of the nation, being the future torchbearers and hope for the nation.
Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated in RFSNEM on 9th November 2023. The students of Falcons house showcased the spirit of Diwali by sharing significance of five days of Diwali through a skit and scintillating songs and dance performances. They showed how celebrations light the path of knowledge and promotes character development among the students. Diwali is an occasion to rejoice in the conquest of brightness over obscurity. RFSNEM takes pride in nurturing this luminance within its students, leading them towards a more brilliant and rewarding future.
Investiture ceremony, which signifies the confidence and reliance that the school invests in the newly elected prefectorial board was held on 8th November 2023 in RFSNEM. The chief guest- Shri Shashank Goel, RIL-NMD President, SMC Chairman vested upon the leaders, their respective powers to encourage them to be the guiding light and the torchbearers. The House In charges honoured the Prefectorial Board with Badges & the Chief Guest honoured the students with Sashes & their House Flags to build their confidence & prove their ownership & responsibility towards their respective houses & and always be ready to lead. Through the sense of ownership, mentorship, and promotion of school spirit, investiture ceremony instills values, responsibility, and a commitment to excellence in students.
NCC Girls:
Cadet Sanchita Maruti Adhav, after successfully completing Pre RDC (Republic Day Camp) I and II, had the honour of being selected for the prestigious Pre RDC-III NCC Camp at the Artillery Centre in Nashik. The 10-day camp offered a unique and enriching experience for all participants.
Passing Out Parade: Cadets had the opportunity to witness a Passing Out Parade, where a batch of recruits from the artillery unit completed a demanding 42-week training regimen. This event showcased the discipline, precision, and dedication of the recruits.
Training on INSAS Rifle: ANO Third Officer Sweta, along with six other Associate NCC Officers (ANO) and Care Taking Officers (CTO), participated in training sessions focused on the Indian Small Arm System (INSAS) Rifle. The training included practical firing exercises.
NCC Boys:
46 Cadets of NCC Boys 2nd Year went for their required training at Artillery Camp, Nashik from 16/09/2023 to 25/09/2023 guided by CTO Shuvabrata Singha. Throughout the camp, Cadets were given theoretical and practical classes. Based on the lessons, they were assessed. Two cadets were in top three. Cadet Aditya Bothare and Cadet Arnav Aher cemented their position at 2nd & 3rd place respectively.
Road Safety Week was observed on 10th October 2023 to create awareness about following traffic rules among the students who will be the future citizens of the country. In collaboration with RGSS (Reliance Group of Security Services) Extempore & Poster Making Competitions were organized to educate the students on the consequences of reckless or negligent driving. These activities brought about a sense of awareness and responsibility among the students regarding the importance of following traffic rules and initiating promotion of safe driving habit.
‘Vachan Prerna Divas’ (Inspire to Read Day) was observed for two consecutive days on 8th & 9th of October 2023 due to examinations beginning from 11th October 2023 to commemorate the birth anniversary of our former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s which falls on October 15 and is observed as Vachan Prerna Divas throughout the country. The school library was set up with APJ Abdul Kalam’s books displayed on the reading table for the students to gather & discuss books, writers and literary works. This helped to inculcate and develop the habit of reading among students & create a love for books.
RFSNEM participated in the two-day event of Inter RFS MUN 2023, the third Inter-school Model United Nations Conference organised by RFSKK. The event began on Friday, 06 October 2023 and winded up on Saturday, 07 October 2023. Twelve students of RFSNEM participated as delegates of specific countries in four different committees of MUN Conference 2023. The committees were HCC, WHO, UNSC & UNHRC with two students in each committee. The students got an opportunity to sharpen their communication and leadership skills, engage in constructive dialogue, and cultivate a deep understanding of international relations. The vote of thanks was delivered by Miss Anshika Mishra during the closing ceremony of the event.
RFSNEM participated in the two-day event of DAV MUN 2023(Western Zone), the second Inter-school Model United Nations Conference. The event began on Friday, 06 October 2023 and winded up on Saturday, 07 October 2023. Twelve students of RFSNEM participated as delegates of specific countries in six different committees of MUN Conference 2023. The committees were UNSC, UNEP, UNHRC, UNCSTD, WTO & LOKSABHA. Miss Tanishqua Janjirkar of Class IX brought laurels to the school by participating as Ms. Sonia Gandhi, a member of Opposition party in the LOKSABHA Committee and earning an award for the Most Diplomatic Delegate for the same. The entire team of twelve students raised the flag of the school high by bagging the Most Disciplined Team Award of the event. Further, the UNCSTD committee bagged the Best Committee Award in which two students- Ms. Shubhra Jadhav & Mst. Swayam Shirke were the representatives our school.
RFSNEM participated in the cleanliness drive "Swachata hi seva and Shramadan" on 1st October, 2023. In all forty-two Students Participated including Scout and Guides, NCC boys Girls and School students. The team conducted a rally to create awareness in the community. They did Shramadan for 1hr and cleaned 1200 square metre area. The event organisers were CTO Shuvabrata Singha & Guide Captain Dr. Pragati Kolhe who took the initiative to accomplish the set target by their team.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at RFSNEM on 6th September 2023, with lot of enthusiasm and joy. It is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. The celebration began by offering homage full of devotion to Lord Krishna through aarti & bhajan. The students dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha & performed dance dramas depicting the life of Lord Krishna followed by song & dance performances. The teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagwat Geeta were shared with the students through PPT presentations. Dahi Handi was broken by the students to grace the auspicious occasion. The Principal applauded the presentations of the students and asked them to follow the teachings of Geeta & spread peace & harmony in the society. The day was a delightful divine journey for the students.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th September 2023 with great enthusiasm and fun-filled activities in Reliance Foundation School, Nagothane. The students presented songs in praise of the teachers and their importance in shaping their future. They also conveyed their appreciation for their teachers’ guidance and support. Heartfelt messages on hand made cards were shared, creating an emotional connection that resonated with both teachers and students. The students of classes XI and XII stepped into the teacher’s shoes for a day and acted as substitute teachers in the classroom. They shared their experiences in their role as Principal, Vice Principal and teachers which fostered empathy and a deeper understanding of the dedication required to educate and nurture young minds. SMC Chairman and RIL-NMD President Shri Shashank Goel who was invited for the event, applauded and awarded the exceptional teachers with trophies and mementos as a token of love and appreciation. Also, the teachers were awarded for their long service of 25 years with dedication and hard work in the institution. A luncheon was hosted by the institution to make the teachers feel special. It was a day when the entire school paid tribute to its teachers. This day served as a reminder that teachers are not just disseminators of knowledge but mentors who leave an indelible mark on the lives of their students.
RFSNEM celebrated Raksha Bandhan & Narali Purnima on 29th August 2023. Narali Purnima is celebrated on the same day as Raksha Bandhan and thus it was double cause of celebration for Falcons to show their enthusiasm. Narali Purnima is an important festival celebrated primarily in Maharashtra and Konkan region by fishermen community. Raksha Bandhan is celebrated to depict the unbreakable bond between the brother & sister. Significance of both the festivals were given by the students followed by song & dance performances. They narrated mythological story about the cause of Raksha Bandhan celebration to make the students aware of the reason for its celebration. The day was filled with mirth & joy for the students.
RFSNEM observed National Sports Day on 29th August 2023 to celebrate the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand and also to create awareness regarding the need and the benefits of incorporating sports and physical activities in our day-to-day life. The students of all houses shared the significance of the celebration of National Sports day. To inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship & teamwork among students, various indoor & outdoor events like Chess, Carrom, Running & Football matches were organised. Inter house Quiz was conducted to inclucate the competitive spirit among the students. The Principal Shri. Anop Shukla Sir elaborated upon the importance of sports and extracurricular activities in the lives of students as they embark on their path of holistic development. He appreciated the sense of competition instilled in the students and encouraged them to pursue their goals with similar diligence and perseverance. He urged them to “keep trying” and wished them good luck for their future endeavours.
RFSNEM celebrated 77th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor & enthusiasm. Shri Shashank Goel, the Site President of RIL-NMD was the honourable Chief Guest for the occasion and hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National song sung by the students.
The Chief Guest inspected the contingents of NCC 1 Mah Battalion of Boys & Girls and Scouts & Guides & shared words of inspiration with them. As a part of the "Meri Mitti Mera Desh" activity, cadets took the solemn "Panch Pran pledge." This pledge underscores their dedication to the values of unity, integrity, and patriotism.
On the eve of Independence Day, a cultural programme was organised in BGRB in collaboration with RIL-NMD. Students participated in cultural program by singing patriotic songs & presenting dance performances. RFSNEM conducted Sketch Making activity of the freedom fighters to show their gratitude towards them whose selfless sacrifices and unparalleled contributions brought us freedom. Sweets were distributed as token of affection to the students.
The main aim of celebrating the Independence Day is to celebrate its history, significance & importance with the students to inculcate the spirit and fervor of patriotism among the students.
RFSNEM hosted CBSE Training session for all the staff on 12th August 2023 on the topic ‘Implementation of NEP-2020’. The resource persons were Mr Rajeev Garg,Principal – Datta Meghe World Academy, Airoli & Dr. Mrs. Rashmirekha Saha,Principal – Lodha World School, Dombivli. The teachers from J.M. Rathi School, MDN Future School & Gregorian School also attended the session along with the teachers of RFSNEM. The focus of the session was on the large number of stage-by-stage curricular goals & illustrated learning outcomes & providing a clear roadmap for substantially raising teaching learning standards in education system. More emphasis was on the aims & objectives of learning assessment under the new 5+3+3+4 curricular & pedagogical structure of school education - Foundational stage, Preparatory stage, Middle stage & Secondary stage. They also specified need for the assessment tests alignment with curricular goals & competencies set out in for all the stages in NEP-2020 to gracefully shift from rote memorisation skills to analytical & critical thinking skills. They even stressed on the pedagogical considerations for physical development, emotional development, social & ethical development & cognitive development of the children & importance of teacher training which is critical & pivotal for implementation of the new curricular of NEP-2020.
Total 60 participants attended the session. The session ended with Q & A series & a note of appreciation for the well conduct of the session.
Ninth IYD was celebrated in RFSNEM with great enthusiasm in the morning assembly on 21st June 2023. The celebration began with sharing significance of IYD 2023 & its theme for the year 2023- ‘Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (One Earth, One Family & One Future). It was followed by chanting of “Om” & Shlokas. The students were instructed & guided to do warmup exercises before performing the various asanas like Bhujangasana, Tadasana, Padmasana, etc. The event concluded with the prayer-Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. After morning assembly, various competitions like- Quiz, Poster making, Slogan Writing, Class board decoration were conducted for all the students of classes V to XII for their holistic development which is a path of Yoga. The students were delighted to be a part of the celebration which ended with a message for the students - “Yoga is light, which once lit will never dim. The more you practice, the brighter the flame.”
Tree Plantation Drive was organised by RFSNEM for the Scouts & Guides of class X. The students took the pledge to nurture the trees & increase their number. They also shared the significance of Tree Plantation, prepared slogans & posters based on the theme ‘Plant a tree & stay young’. Under the guidance of School leadership team, Saplings were planted in school premises to spread awareness about the same.
RFSNEM organised an awareness & informative program on G20 Presidency by India. Various events were organized in the school campus. The students of class X visited the middle section classes & delivered the significance of G20 & its working. Drawing Competition & Quiz was organized for the students of classes 8th, 9th & 10th. The aim was to create awareness among the students regarding the importance G20 for the economic development of the country. India's presidency will be a significant milestone as it seeks to embody the idea of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," or "the world is one family."
International Year of Millet-2023 was celebrated in RFSNEM on 16th June 2023 with great vigour to create awareness about production & consumption of millets. 23 NCC Cadets of RFSNEM participated in the event. They presented a PPT on the importance of millets in our diet to create awareness about millets, participated in Poster making activity & Food festival. 22 different dishes of millets were prepared by the cadets to create awareness about the nutritive value of millets and to promote their inclusion in dietary habits.
RFSNEM conducted In-house PD session for all the staff members from 12th June, 2023 to 14th June, 2023. The topics covered were related to the theme & overall development of the students & the staff. The entire focus was on adopting NEP 2020, enhancing critical thinking & creativity among the students & catering to the needs of the children aligned to the NEP. Alongside the main theme, a session on sensitization/ awareness on Autism/ASD was conducted for early detection of CWSN to empower teachers to facilitate such children and help to lay the foundation that will improve the quality of their and offer greater opportunities. Special highlights were on finding the learning gaps & bridging them for effective learning outcomes.
At the end of the session, Principal acknowledged the efforts of the staff for smooth conduct of the session & encouraged them to perform better in their classrooms & deliver positive results.
RFSNEM initiated the School Summer Camp for the students of classes VI to VIII from 2nd May to 6th May 2023 to develop their observation & Creative skills. The main aim was to equip the students with a variety of tools and skills that will help them to become an engaged member of society. The students explored creativity and artistic approach. It also enhanced their focus and concentration and built fine motor skills & eye-hand co-ordination also. Various Art, Craft, Music & Sports activities were conducted in the camp for the students to participate according to their interest & capability. The focus of the summer camp was to develop the holistic approach & personality of the students.
RFSNEM was opted NCC for Girls in AY-2019-20. Since then, NCC is doing wonders is various fields. In the current AY-2023-24, Twenty-one NCC Cadets, of under 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC, Mumbai unit, attended 10 days Combined Annual Training Camp at SPDC College, Thane from 21st April to 30th April 2023.The camp was attended by 375 NCC CADETS of 21 schools and colleges, Under the command of 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC of OC, Lieutenant Colonel Sameer Singh. During the CATC, Cadets participated in various activities on account of cultural Fest like Drill, PT, Yoga, Firing practice, Group dance, Group song & Solo Singing. They also attended various guest lectures delivered by various eminent personalities in the field of Knowledge. The Cadets passionately participated in various Cultural Competitions organised by NCC group & also brought laurels to the School by winning the competitions.
Fire safety Week was celebrated by RFSNEM in collaboration with Fire Service department, RIL-NMD on 19th April 2023.The members of Fire Department conducted a Fire Safety awareness session with a live demonstration in school premises on Firefighting & Fire prevention for the students of Classes VI to XII. Fire Safety awareness plays a VITAL role in saving the lives and property of people. The demonstration helps to know the preparedness of the School to combat emergencies. How to handle the fire situation with apt actions of Firefighting was known to everyone.
RFSNEM participated in RFS Interschool Athletic Championship, KDARFS JAMNAGAR on 3rd & 4th April 2023. 14 students participated in various track and field events such as - 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 4 x 100 meters relay races, shot put, discus throw, and long jump and they were accompanied by two P.E. Teachers. The students displayed team Spirit with great zeal & enthusiasm.
RFSNEM conducted In-house PD session for all the staff from 13th March, 2023 to 18th March, 2023. It was conducted with teamwork & great enthusiasm in the School assembly hall. Twenty-six topics were covered based on the requirements of all the staff. The two major components of this PD Session were “Critical Thinking” and “Creativity”. The activities of the individual session elevated the “Critical Thinking” and “Creativity” among the teachers. Apart from “Critical Thinking”, other topics like “Classroom Management”, “Class Observation”, “Career & College Counselling” and “Time Management” etc. were covered to prepare better for the coming academic session. The sessions were infused with pedagogical knowledge and fun elements. This weeklong PD Sessions came to an end with a valedictory function to boost the morale of the staff to enhance their performances in the teaching learning process. The Principal declared the first 3 best sessions of the week & honoured each one of them with certificate & a token of appreciation. While addressing the staff, he urged the teachers to enhance their thinking faculties to come up with innovative ideas to achieve their aims & objectives of the teaching-learning process. Finally, with the vote of thanks the weeklong session came to an end displaying the quote: ‘We are each unique & beautiful but together We are a Masterpiece’.
RFSNEM celebrated 74th Republic Day on 26th January 2023. It was celebrated with great enthusiasm & patriotic fervour in the School and in Reliance Township.
On the eve of Republic Day, on 25th January students participated in the cultural program by presenting a group song & dance to show the growth of India on the theme of Skill India. The students took pride in glorifying & celebrating the spirit of unity with their performances.
In the School the Tricolour was unfurled by the SMC Chairman. This was followed with March Past by the NCC Boys, Girls and Boy Scout and Girl Guide contingents.
The honourable President of RIL, NMD, Shri Shashank Goel unfurled our National Flag in the Township. The students paid tribute to the motherland with National Anthem and Patriotic Song presentation. The NCC 1 Maharashtra Boys & Girls battalions, Scouts & Guides contingents presented the march past and paid their respects to the national flag. The students also presented the Jhanki of Shivaji Maharaj & his Ashtapradhan Mandal to display the Maratha sense of unity in administration & disciplined team spirit.
The delightful celebration of Christmas for joy, laughter and sharing happiness was the most vibrant & colourful event of RFSNEM. The tiny tots came dressed in colourful attire & presented prayers, Christmas carols & dance performances and created an ambience of happiness all around. The essence of Christmas came alive with the arrival of Santa Clause on the stage to distribute sweets. Beautifully decorated Christmas Tree with decorated bells, socks & sweets gave the school a vibrant and colourful look. The boundless happiness was visible on the faces of the kids.
On 23rd December 2022, RFSNEM celebrated its Annual Sports & Athletic Meet for the academic year 2022-23 with great zeal & splendour. The event began with morning assembly, welcome song & lamp lighting ceremony. It was followed by various Yoga exercises, colourful formations, mesmerising Aerobics & Lathi drills. The prefectorial Board and students of Classes IX to XII presented a wonderful March past which displayed their discipline, teamwork & leadership qualities. It was followed by the Oath taking ceremony administered by the Principal Sir .The Chief guest Shri Shashank Goel declared the Meet open by lighting the Torch & by releasing colourful balloons. Various events like 100mtrs. Running race, sack race, 3-legged race & relays were held for students of classes III to XII. The winners were awarded with medals & certificates. The Best March Past Troop winner were the Hawks & the Runners up were the Kites house.
The teachers also got an opportunity to prove their physical fitness by participating in Running race. They proved that age is no bar for running and winning on the tracks.
The programme ended with closing ceremony. The children were happy and enjoyed the day with great vigour.
Community Service Project, an experiential learning strategy was utilised by RFSNEM towards achieving holistic approach & all-round development of the students. By encouraging the students in volunteering for this initiative, the project also supported the neglected section of the society. The students collected the donation in kind from all the classes & segregated it. A group of volunteers from classes VII to XII visited SAMPARC Orphanage at Bandhan, Poynad & Prerna CWSN School, Roha, Raigad & shared the collection with the children. It was a unique experience for the students and they learnt their responsibility towards the society & community development.
As a part of educational visit, the students of Class VII visited the Poly house of Reliance Industries where the waste garbage is converted into composts.
Shri Ajinkya Patil, from Estate Office, RIL NMD explained to the students about utilization of waste garbage - How it is segregated as wet & dry & further how the wet garbage is processed & converted into Composts. The students got practical experience of seeing the different steps involved in the process of making compost. The visit was a meaningful learning experience of the students & they shared their experiences with other students in the school.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Children’s Day was celebrated on Monday, 14th November 2022 with great zeal and splendour. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru loved children and had faith in their potential. Like him, we at RFSNEM believes that children are the future of the country and the foundation of a prosperous society. The celebrations began with Speeches in English and Hindi delivered by students in the Morning Assembly. A children’s Song – “Nanhe Munhe Bachche Teri Muthi Mein Kya Hain” was rendered by the students of Hawk House. This was followed by a plethora of activities for children across all sections. Pre-Primary Section children came in colourful attire and celebrated the day with songs and dances.
The Principal addressed the children emphasizing on their role in the growth of the nation, being the future torchbearers and hope for the nation. The school was decorated with colourful pictures, balloons and charts. Academic Activity was suspended partially for the smooth conduct of the events and sweets were distributed to all children.
The children were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day with happiness written on their faces.
10th Alumni Talk for the month of November 2022 was conducted in School & Mr. Suman Karmakar from batch 2020 was the invited resource person. He interacted with students of classes X to XII & shared his views on the topic ‘Career in Fine Arts'. He made the students familiar with different career options in Fine Arts & how to select the branches in Fine Arts in accordance with one’s passion.
Investiture ceremony, one of the most significant & auspicious event of the school and was held on 15th October 2022 to bestow upon the student leaders, their respective powers and encourage them to be the guiding light and the torch bearers. The Principal, Vice Principal & the House In charges, NCC In charges, Scout & Guide In charges, Games & Sports In Charge - honoured the Prefectorial Board with Badges, Sashes & their House Flags to build up their confidence & prove their accountability, ownership & responsibility towards their respective houses & and be always ready to lead.
The two NCC In charges were felicitated with Awards & token of appreciation for their contribution towards the growth and development of NCC 1 Maharashtra Boys battalion & 1 Maharashtra Girls battalion in the AY-2021-22. The Awardee Teachers are ANO Sweta Mishra & CTO Dhiraj Patil.
RFSNEM celebrated Teachers Day to honour the teachers who through their commitment and dedication have not only improved the quality of School education but also enriched the lives of their students. The students applauded the teachers & performed a scintillating cultural program as a mark of their love, respect, acknowledgment and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers for their development. The cultural program incorporated songs & playing of musical instruments and fun games. The students shared their experiences as teachers & appreciated their role in making their pupils accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. Shri Gautam Mukherjee, HR, SMC, Ms. Shailza Singh, Manager, SMC & Principal Sir congratulated the teachers and acknowledged the sincere efforts of every teacher for the painstaking effort they selflessly put in every day.
12 Teachers were conferred with Best Teacher Awards for giving Excellent subject average and pass percentage in Class X and XII Board Exams and Best Contribution Award for their contribution in enabling the smooth transition from offline classes to technology-driven teaching in unprecedented times when the COVID-19 pandemic halted the traditional classroom teaching-learning process & development of the School & the students.

7th Alumni Talk for the month of August 2022 was conducted in School & Ms Pranali Bhosale from batch 2013 was the resource person. She interacted with students of classes X to XII & shared her experience regarding the procedures and preparations required for MPSC & UPSC examination & how to become eligible the Government jobs. She also shared the study mantra of not taking shortcuts to achieve the target & know the rules & regulations of appearing for Govt. Exams.
To commemorate India’s 75th Anniversary of Independence in School, the chief guest Shri Chetan P. Walanj, Chairman of SMC hoisted the National Flag, the national anthem was sung & the pledge was taken by the teachers & NCC Cadets of 1 Maharashtra boys & girls battalion & the students of Classes IX to XII.
Parade was presented by NCC Cadets of 1 Maharashtra boys & girls battalion & the students of Classes IX to XII for displaying their discipline, teamspirit & dedication towards the nation. They presented the parade at School & in the township Flag hoisting ceremony in collaboration with RIL NMD.
A Skit on the theme-’Save Trees’ was presented by 15 students of classes III to V. This skit was conducted to create an awareness about Protecting Environment from pollution on the eve of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
On account of 75th Independence Day celebration, RFSNEM acquainted the students with the cultural heritage of our country by organizing a procession –’Sandhya Pheri’ to make the students aware of the importance of Freedom fighters & the ways how the freedom fighters inspired and motivated others to fight injustice & made themselves the pillars behind the freedom movement.
35 students from classes V to VII presented the song –’Desh Hamra-Dharti Apni –Hum Dharti ke lal’ showcasing great zeal & patriotic fervour.
34 Students in all presented the dance performances based on the theme-’The story of Soldier’ to inspire every Indian to respect our Soldiers & help their families in need.
Fancy Dress competition was conducted to encourage the kids to know the significance of ID. In all 65 pre-primary students participated by draping as freedom fighters of India displaying great zeal of patriotism amongst them.
March past was conducted by the students of Classes IX to XII for displaying their discipline, team spirit & dedication towards the nation.
Classes VI to XII actively participated in the Sketch/Poster making activity to display their love & dedication towards the nation & become recognizable with Indian Art as a part of ID celebration.
CCA committee organized the celebration of Raksha Bandhan for Pre-Primary & Primary students in their respective classes. The significance of the day was shared by the students followed by tying Rakhi which was the highlight of the celebration on this auspicious day. The students took pledge to protect their sisters from all evils & provide help to the needy ones.
On account of 75th Independence Day celebration, various activities depicting patriotism was conducted with glitz and glory portraying the theme “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava & Har Ghar Tiranga”. The details are as follows:
Updating House Boards on the theme “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav & Har Ghar Tiranga.” : RFSNEM encouraged the students to have patriotic fervor among them & every house student should team up to display their creativity on Patriotism.
Pre-Primary: Flag colouring & Collage & recitation of patriotic songs activity was conducted in LKG to encourage the kids to know the significance of ID.
Primary: The students of classes I to V were engaged in Flag making Activity & Class Decoration activity to instil patriotic fervour among the students. Practice of Patriotic Song was conducted in their respective classes.
Secondary/Sr.Secondary:
All the classes right from LKG to class XII actively participated in the class decoration activity to display the engaging & welcoming atmosphere of ID celebration.
The students of classes I to V were engaged in practicing the patriotic song for the competition on 16/8/2022.This event boosted the students to instil patriotic fervour among the students. Practice of Patriotic Song was conducted in their respective classes.

6/8/2022-Eagles- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Speech (Give me blood,I promise you freedom) on 44th July,1944 at a rally of Indians in Burma was read by Rohan Singh, Class XII.
8/8/2022- Falcons- Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s speech in Nashik in 1917 with famous slogan-’Swaraj is my Birthright & I shall Have it’ was read by Miss Shravani Patil, Class XII.
10/8/2022- Hawks- The 'Tryst with Destiny' speech which was delivered by Nehru on the eve of India's Independence, towards midnight on 14 August 1947 and which remains etched in the memories of Indians was read by vardesh Shetti, Class XII.
12/8/2022- Kites- Mahatma Gandhi’s speech to launch Quit India movement given on 8th August 1942 was read by Vedant Kurle, Class XII.
6th Alumni Talk Series for the month of July 2022 was conducted in School in an offline mode. The Guest Speaker-Dr. Juili Tadkar, batch 2012- 2013, MBBS batch 2021 presented PPT on Career Guidance in Medicine. The students were made aware of the details of NEET (UG), the only entrance test for medical courses, clarity of goals, what to study & how to study for the same. This helped students to get more clarity, address their concerns & broaden their vision regarding their career.
CCA committee organized the celebration of Guru Purnima during assembly for the students. The significance of the day was shared by a student representative of Eagle House followed by a song to honour the teachers on this auspicious day. The students took the blessings of their teachers & promised to impart knowledge to the needy.
3 NCC Cadets, of RFSNEM, under 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC, Mumbai were selected for TSC I (Thal Sainik Camp). They attended 10 days Combined Annual Training Camp at Indian Military School and Junior College, Khadwali. The camp was attended by 316 NCC CADETS of 23 schools and colleges, Under the command of 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC of OC, Lieutenant Colonel Sameer Singh. Cadet Shubhra Yogesh Jadhav bagged bronze medal in inter-group firing competition held between 23 Schools & colleges. and got selected for next camp.
1MAH BN Mumbai, Maharashtra organized a one-day NCC firing camp at US CLUB, Colaba, Mumbai. 25 NCC Cadets from RFSNEM actively participated in the Firing camp which is an important part of the compulsory training programme for NCC CADETS to make them confident in the use of firearms. It also enhances their skill of Eye-Hand coordination & develops a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Alumni Talk is a great way of networking for the Sr. Secondary students who are in the phase of choosing the career path they are interested in. In line with the flow Alumni Talk for the month of June 2022 was conducted in School in offline mode. The Guest Speaker-Ms. Himadri Pandya, batch 2015- 2016 is an Application Development Associate at Accenture Solutions Pvt. Ltd., NSS Maharashtra State Awardee-2019 & found a place on the cover page of The Magazine -Wow@ Reliance in October 2019 issue. Students got an idea about the importance and advantages of participation in various activities at the College & University levels & its benefits in their chosen career.
RFSNEM celebrated 8th IYD on 21st June 2022 to popularize Yoga among the student and teaching community and make them embrace it to stay healthy & rejuvenated, to incorporate discipline, concentration & fight depression due to the extended and ongoing pandemic. We emphasized on the importance of Yoga and physical exercises in daily life to ally all fears and anxieties. The celebration was initiated with prayer & chanting of omkaras & shlokas, followed by warm-up exercises, sitting and standing asanas. The P.E.Teachers demonstrated the asanas & shared their importance with the students. The event concluded with the prayer-Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. Poster making and Drawing Competitions were organised for the students of classes VI to VIII on the theme Yoga for Humanity. Yoga which offers a path for sustainable living was attended by everyone with great enthusiasm and the participation of all made it successful.
RFSNEM celebrated World Environment Day to create awareness regarding protection of our mother earth & its resources. Activities regarding creating awareness about the sustainable utilization of resources for betterment of our environment were arranged for students of all Classes. Posters for Environment Day, seed balls for plantation, bird feeders, models of rainwater harvesting were prepared by the students to project their responsibility towards the Environment.
Pre-primary Section: The students were engaged in a play way method to know the household/kitchen articles & enact the role of a mother in kitchen. The students actively identified the articles & showed how it is used in kitchen by their mother with great enthusiasm.
Middle & Secondary Section: Students of class VI were encouraged to grow plants to help earth retain her greenery with a unique activity. They were asked to prepare seed balls & scatter them in the open areas in their neighbourhood to get a good number of plants growing after rainy season.
Students of class VII were engaged in hands-on activities to develop their skills, knowledge & understanding in a better way. The Science teacher guided the students to prepare & explain the model of the digestive system to know how digestion is important for breaking down food into nutrients, which the body uses for energy, growth, and cell repair. Working Lung models were also prepared by the students to better visualize & understand the entire respiratory system.
Class IX Students chose an art-integrated activity to connect with Odisha & know their culture & tradition. Students made Jhoti Chita Rangoli with rice powder paste & with a piece of cloth surrounded by a stick is used to create beautiful patterns. The rich heritage of Orissa was also known by the students with the help of craft activity of Paper Mache -moulding paper into a range of products including patachitra-styled masks known as Mukha.
Road safety Awareness session was conducted by Reliance Group of Security Services(RGSS) for the entire Staff of RFSNEM on 29/4/2022.The resource Person Mr. Milind Kulkarni, Safety Dept. & Mr Amit Tayde, RGSS created awareness regarding the safety norms to be followed while driving like wearing seat belts, full face helmet with locked belts & following traffic rules as nothing is more precious than one’s life.
Alumni Talk Series-4 was initiated by RFSNEM. Ms. Aneesha Rane, Design Faculty, Silica Institute, was the resource person for the virtual session on the topic ‘Design Career Guidance’’ for classes X & XII Students on 23rd April 2022. The Alumnae is 2015 year pass out from RFSNEM & also one of the finalists of FBB Femina Miss India Contest 2016 . Students were envisioned about the various courses available in Design & Course prospects in Fashion. Guidance was provided regarding entrance exams for the same & also paper Pattern. The session helped the students to think about choosing a career of their passion rather than pressure.
Our planet Earth is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! So RFSNEM motivated its students to come up with various techniques to protect the earth from depletion of its resources by taking part in activities like making posters with slogans, planting trees, making adobe spark videos, making models on renewable sources of energy to create awareness on making our Earth a happier, healthier place to live.
To maintain a balance between academic & co-curricular activities RFSNEM has developed curriculum that ensures an active day-to-day participation from the students. This keeps their minds and bodies active, leading to better Physical & Mental Health. In the month of April ‘Thanks Giving Card Making’ & Story telling competition was conducted for Primary Section. The students participated actively in the same with great enthusiasm.
Fire Safety Awareness session was conducted for classes VI to XII on 18/4/2022 by Fire Dept, RIL. Fire Safety tips were given by resource person Shri Jaishankar Mishra, Fire Dept ,RIL NMD. Live demonstration of using different types of firefighting systems was given by the team. The students actively participated in the Demo & ‘On the Spot Quiz’ & won prizes.
World Art Day was celebrated on 16th April 2022 to celebrate the importance of fine arts and promote creativity among the students. The students participated in it by making sketches, drawings & posters to show their love for the subject. It generated a love for learning & creativity among the students & also enhanced their hand-eye coordination.
Counselling Session on ‘Exam Stress Management’ was organised by RFSNEM in collaboration with Family Welfare Centre(FWC), RIL for the students of Classes X & XII. The resource person Dr. Rituparna Ghosh, Consultant, Clinical Psychologist, Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai interacted with the students on Mechanisms of Coping with Exam Stress. She enlightened the students' with a few stress management techniques like enough sleep, taking a break to refresh themselves, listen to some music, etc which can significantly boost students mental health, help fight anxiety and help students achieve positive outcomes. It helped the students to release exam pressure to a certain extent.
